Memorial Pages on Fold3

Create a Memorial Page on Fold3 as a genealogy project for Memorial Day.

Under "Memorials" search the Honor Roll for all veterans included in the Fold3 database or search the interactive Vietnam War and Pearl Harbor Memorials. Add photographs, stories, or leave a tribute on a veteran's page. You can also create a Memorial page for service members who are not already listed in the database.

Use Fold3 to search for military records and histories to add your veteran's story. Access Fold3 from home with your Glenview Library Card.

Free Database Access

In honor of Independence Day, several databases are offering free access to records this weekend.

Ancestry lets users search for records from the original thirteen colonies through July 5th. Search for free here.

If you're looking for early colonial ancestors, NEHGS has a great offer this holiday weekend. The New England Historic Genealogical Society will allow guest users to search the Great Migration Study Project until July 8th. This is an excellent resource if you're looking for ancestors who migrated to New England between 1620 and 1640.

And with Fold3, you can search for Revolutionary War military records through July 5th.

Happy Fourth!

Footnote is Now Fold3

Footnote.com has changed its name to Fold3.

Your current Free Footnote registration will work on Fold3 and you can sign in with your same email address and password. Any contributions you have made to Footnote will also move over to Fold3.

Fold3 is the Web's premier collection and destination for original U.S. military records.  Footnote is refocusing its efforts on gathering the best online collection of military records and stories, and wanted a name that would reflect military history and honor.

Traditionally, the third fold in a flag-folding ceremony honors and remembers veterans for their sacrifice in defending their country and promoting peace in the world.
